Josephson's Heroics Lead San Carlos District 10 Red Team to Opening Game Victory

Ian Josephson led the way for the San Carlos District 10 team in an opening game 12-1 victory over Pacifica American.

Josephson's early two run home run provided all the run support that San Carlos would need.

Josephson also pitched 4.1 innings of one run ball.  He had a no-hitter through 3 innings.

Josephson did it all today.  He even sang the National Anthem.

Well maybe he didn't do that, but he could have if he wanted to.

San Carlos had plenty of offensive support with too many names to mention, but noteworthy of some ink is Clay Hinsdale.  The cleanup hitter for San Carlos who was also the only kid who hit a home run on wood bat Saturday this year, picked up right where he left off.

Hinsdale went 4-4 and was a triple short of the cycle.  His 5th inning 2 run homer ended the game on a mercy rule.

Next up for the San Carlos District 10 team is a matchup with Menlo Sunday June 25th at 10:00 a.m. at La Entrada School in Menlo Park.
